Hemp seed is a superior natural product that delivers amazing nutritional impacts.  Hemp seed nutritionally comprises soluble and insoluble fibre, full amino acid protein profile, essentially fatty acids including an optimal ratio of omega 3-6-9 and several minerals and vitamins.  It is classed as a superfood and provides a cool energy source.

Hemp seed helps the body to help itself.  We have a variety of products to help support the overall wellbeing of both people and animals.  The areas of positive support include:

• Skin/coat/feathers
• Joint pain/inflammation/mobility
• Temperament/behaviour/stress/anxiety
• Gut/intestines/bowel health

For chickens, international research and feedback suggests hemp seed supports good feather growth and muscle tone, lower feed intake and bigger eggs with higher protein content and improved yolk colour intensity.

We recommend our hemp hulls and hearts (20L, 10L or 1kg) for chickens.  This product is comprised of the outer shell/husk of the hemp seed which is high in both types of fibre.  It also introduces essential fatty acids and protein from the included seed hearts.  Provide directly or add to their other seed mix.
